The Ministry of Finance allocated oil subsidies of 19.8 billion yuan to fishery, forest, urban public transport, rural road transport, urban taxi managers and grain peasants on June 20, just after adjusting the price of refined oil.

Meanwhile, in order to eliminate the negative impact of refined oil on urban taxi managers and ensure social stability, an urgent notice issued by the Ministry of Finance, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development required the central finance department and the local finance departments to allocate total subsidies to taxi managers as long as taxi prices had not been adjusted. The notice also mandated that the subsidy be sent to taxi managers immediately. The policy has since been carried out.
