Pearl jewelry design competition held in Suzhou

A pearl jewelry design competition called "Shining in Weitang" kicked off in the town of Weitang in Suzhou, in eastern China's Jiangsu Province on June 24, 2008.


A necklace called "Feng Zhi Yue," designed by Dao Ying from Academy of Arts and Design at Tsinghua University, is on display. This design won the necklace competition.


It is held jointly by the Gems & Jewelry Trade Association of China and some related departments.

Among the 1,016 pieces received from competitors, there were 607 full-scale works, and 48 have won awards.
