Spanish King Juan Carlos and Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero on Thursday condemned the latest terrorist attack allegedly perpetrated by the Basque separatist group ETA in the University of Navarre in northern Spain.

The two leaders, speaking at the Ibero-American summit in San Salvador, wished the 17 injured in Thursday morning's car bomb explosion a prompt recovery.

They also expressed their "strongest condemnation" of the attack.

The car bomb was set off in the parking lot of the university in the northern city of Pamplona, close to Basque country, a repeated target of bomb attacks by ETA separatists.
