The huge 'painting scroll' used in the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics will be divided into smaller parts and put on sale, according to the news released from the China International Industry Fair held in Shanghai on November 5.
Meanwhile, the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) stated that the majority of the important properties used in the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics and Paralympics will be collected and stored.
The LED painting scroll custom made for the Beijing Olympics was leased to the Games. After the lease expired, the manufacturer will divide it into smaller painting scrolls of different sizes, redesign the system and structure, and sell them in batches to cover the cost, according to the developer and manufacturer.
