Pro: It is a return to nature and promotes tourism

Mr. Huang, who works in the tourism industry, said that there are nude beaches abroad and nude bathing is considered to be a way being fully in touch with nature as well as a means of tourism and leisure comparatively advocated by foreigners. Meishan tourism has showed a gratifying trend of development in recent years, with an increasing number of tourists, who are demanding new forms of leisure. It is therefore necessary to open a nude bathing spot and create an eco-tourism brand in Hongya County.

Li Qiang, who lives in Chengdu, said that these days people have more life and work pressure and they need places to relax.

Con: Nudist sites are indecent

Mr. Zhang, who lives in Hongya County, has a different opinion from people such as Li Qiang, having always believed that nude sites are immoral and naked bathing in scenic areas is uncivilized and should be banned.

Ms. Wang, who works in a travel agency in Meishan, said once when she was leading a tour in Shandong she saw the naked bathers because she wasn't aware of the situation, and she felt very embarrassed. Ms. Wang thinks that people should observe social morality in public places; they should not harm public interests with visual pollution.

Neutral: Let it run its course naturally

Among the various opinions, there are also more rational voices. Mr. Yang Bo, a long time traveling businessman, believes that with the current degree of openness, the nudist site will not corrupt public morals. It can be left to run its course naturally, while there should be more focus on long-term planning.

Yang said that at present, many so-called naked bathers are driven to naked bathing by curiosity or some other idea rather than a pursuit of full contact with nature. Moreover, if the Tianti bathing spot does not have a set of effective management measures, its survival will be threatened.
