The so-called "Moe", originated in Japan, and refers to the enthusiasm when readers see the beautiful girls in comics. Later, some girls began dressing up copying the girls in cartoons, and made themselves look like girls, some no more than 10-year-old.

"Bobby", a netizen who is keen on the "Moe" style, told the reporter that one of her female friends, who is 47 years old and has two children, is a fanatical fan of cosplay from Japan and South Korea. Her younger brother who is only 25-year-old looks after her as a younger sister, and his 12- year-old son considers his mother a 25-year-old woman.

Can you believe that she is 47 years old?

This 47-year-old woman is Wang Li (not her real name). She told the reporter that she didn't know what "Moe" meant at first. However, as a result of her surfing the Internet and chatting through video, some Net friends told her that she had the potential to be a "Moe girl". From then on, Wang began to pay attention to "Moe" dressing up and day by day she moved closer to the "Moe" style.

Make-up process needs 1 hour at least

"Moe girls" usually have to spend a lot of energy and time in order to guarantee their "Moe" style.

Ying Ying (a netizen's name) said she likes to present herself very "Moe", but the most annoying work she has to do is make-up. She has to spend no less than one hour on make-up every time. Just like her "Moe" friends, she considers her eyes as the most important part which must be round and big. Besides, she should wear wigs and fix the makeup more than 10 times in one day.

Ying ying said a lot of non-mainstream styles on the Internet are indeed a kind of "Moe culture." Most of these non-mainstream pictures have been edited with Photoshop software. Girls in pictures often post the fixed-mode gesture- pursing up their lips with their eyes opening wide- in pursuit of that kind of so-called "super-Moe" effect.
