West Lake Int'l Carnival kicks off in Hanzhou, E China

Children from Taipei of southeast China's Taiwan Province dance on the opening ceremony of the West Lake International Carnival held in Hangzhou, capital of east's China's Zhejiang Province, Aug. 25, 2009. The West Lake International Carnival kicked off on Tuesday, on the opening ceremony of which several hundred folk artists from over ten countries and regions such as Canada, Turkey, Italy and etc performed varied folk dance and singing. The folk artists will travel to the districts, counties in Hangzhou to perform for the local residents. (Xinhua Photo)
