The second annual EU film festival in China will take place from November 5 to December 4, 2009 at both Beijing and Chengdu.

All the 27 EU members are invited to the film festival to show there recent most popular and successful films which include Austria’s Mozart in China, Poland’s Ladies, and the Home of Dark Butterflies from Finland and so on.

Each movie will be shown twice in Beijing and once in Chengdu and screened in the original language with English and Chinese subtitles.

Ambassador of Sweden to China, Mikael Lindstrom, said the films were on the list for their diversity and local flavor and we wanted the Chinese audience to have a glimpse of what the European moviegoers were enjoying.

The first annual EU film festival was held successfully in 2008 in Beijing.
