Two more schools closed as students catch flu in Nepal

Two more schools were closed on Monday when students caught viral fever Nepali west Parbat District.

The two schools, Shahid Smarak Bordering School and Rastriya Balshikshya Sadan school located in the district head quarters of Parbat district Kusma, some 170 km west of Nepali capital Kathmandu.

According the local newspaper The Himalayan Times, some 100 students of Shahid Smarak Bordering School fell ill. Students of Rastriya Balshikshya Sadan were also suffering from a similar ailment.

"The school will have to be closed till Tuesday as the students showed symptoms such as high fever, headache, dizziness and vomiting," The Himalayan Times cited Prem Sharma Poudel, principal of Shahid Smarak Boarding School as saying.

Indira Adhikari, principal of Rastriya Balshikshya Sadan said the school was closed only for Monday.

Due to the viral fever, Kaligandaki Academy Boarding School was closed on Friday.
