Hong Kong reports 67th fatal case of A/H1N1 flu

Hong Kong Hospital Authority announced Tuesday that a 73-year-old male patient has died of A/ H1N1 flu-related disease, bringing the toll of the epidemic to 67 in the city.
A 73-year-old male patient with history of diabetes mellitus and multiple chronic diseases attended the United Christian Hospital on Jan. 5 with the flu-like symptoms.
The patient was admitted to the medical ward and positive result of A/H1N1 flu was confirmed on the same day. He was prescribed with Tamiflu, Relenza and antibiotics.
His condition improved and he was transferred to Kowloon Hospital on Jan. 23 for rehabilitation.
The patient developed symptoms of stroke and was transferred back to the United Christian Hospital on Feb. 5. He passed away on Feb. 6, according to the Hospital Authority.
