The "China Charity Awards 2009" were recently announced in Beijing. Included in this year's list are 121 philanthropists, who together donated 1.884 billion yuan. Also on the list are 899 philanthropic enterprises, which together donated 11.795 billion yuan (including non-monetary donations).
Chen Guangbiao, Chairman of Jiangsu Huangpu Recycle Resources Use Co., Ltd., won the highest award on the list, and was given the title of "China’s Most Charismatic Philanthropist."
Huang Rulun and Huang Tao, father and son from Century Golden Resources Group, won the title of "China’s Top Philanthropist” for the largest cash donation, and Liu Canglong, Chairman of Sichuan Hongda Co., Ltd., won the award of "2009 Charity Special Contribution Award."
