China's first online shop for time-honored brands opened in Beijing
China's first online shop (www.lzheshop.com)comprising nearly a hundred of Beijing's time-honored brands, like Quanjude Peking Roast Duck, Tongrentang Chinese Medicine and Daoxiangcun opened in Beijing a few days ago. Consumers from all over the country and overseas can purchase genuine products of Beijing's time-honored brands via Internet.
"The online shop sells what the real stores sell. There will not be counterfeits." Heming Chen, vice president of the Association of Beijing's Time-honored Brands, told the reporter that the online shop provided about 3000 products of nearly a hundred time-honored brands, including food, tea, daily commodities, clothes and accessories, handicrafts, healthcare products and alcohol. The online shop of time-honored brands was authorized by those Beijing time-honored brand companies to display and sell their products. All the products were genuine and the quality-guaranteed.
The online shop of time-honored brands is to provide bilingual services of Chinese and English this year. It will cooperate with hotels ranking above three stars to provide "gift sets of Beijing's time-honored brands" by that time. Chen said: "It's difficult for people from other places to search for featured products of Beijing's time-honored brands shop by shop. It's convenient for them if we provide gift sets of different combinations and at different price levels."
Xiaoyan Yan, vice director of Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce told the reporter that the online shop broke the location limit that the real stores were faced with. It reduced the cost of expansion and extended distribution channels from a limited number of stores in Beijing to over 2000 cities nationwide and overseas.
