Several Chinese universities have made favorable policies for those high level young baseball players to enter their gates with an aim to promote baseball in China.

According to an agreement signed by the Chinese Baseball Association(CBA) and several popular universities, Shang Hai International Studies University, North China University of Technology, Nanjing University of Technology will adopt students with baseball skills at lower points in the "Entrance examination to college"; while other universities like East China University of Political Science and Law, Tianjin Sports University will recruit those students without examination.

CBA Secretary general Shen Wei said: "Now China has some 140 universitieds with baseball teams, and the figure may reach 1,000. If we add those middle schools and primary schools, we estimate that China at least has 100,000 baseball players."

"I believe that we can further develop this sport in China by more new measures, and we will have good cooperation with the Ministry of Education."

CBA started a long term partner relationship with the QSL Sports Limited Company on June 8, and QSL will also help develop baseball in China.
