A farmer in Longxian county, Shaanxi province, has a young calf that was born with five legs.

According to the calf's owner, Ren Hongjun, a farmer in Xiekou village, the cow was born on June 17 and remains in good condition.

The extra leg is on the right side of the calf's body and in front of its front leg. It's 30 cm long, some 10 cm shorter than the four other legs.

The fifth leg can move but cannot reach the ground. Animal experts say it's probably the result of gene mutation.
