Police in central China's Hunan Province on Tuesday announced a reward of 50,000 yuan (7,320 U.S. dollars) for tips about a suspect who allegedly killed six people Sunday, including an 8-year-old boy and five women in a beauty parlor in the provincial capital of Changsha.

Police said the suspect had been identified as Zhang Chengyu, a 39-year-old man from Sangzhi County in the northwestern part of Hunan.

According to the police detection, Zhang committed the murders at about 5:30 a.m. Sunday, after having a quarrel with his fiancee, a massage attendant who was among the two injured at the beauty parlor.

Police said in a circular that the hunched man, 1.7 meters tall, speaks the local dialect of Sangzhi.
