A driver of a truck transporting wooden furniture and electrical appliances escaped a major tragedy after his vehicle caught fire in Chongqing municipality.

Lu, the truck driver, said he was driving through a tunnel at about 1 am last Wednesday, when a car driver overtook him, screaming, "Fire, fire!"

Lu immediately stopped the truck and ran away from it before calling firefighters, who put out the blaze after 10 minutes.
