According to abroad media's report, a Chinese stamp belongs to Qing Dynasty was sold in a price as high as 226,000 euros (about 2,270,000 RMB) in Hong Kong on Sept. 18. It is understand that the dealing price of this stamp is the highest for a single Chinese stamp, and the buyer is from Beijing.

The stamp belongs to one well-known type of temporary stamp with red printings on them; and actually, this type of stamp was bill stamps with postage used transitionally by custom. Before 1896, Chinese post service was supported by custom post. In 1897, as the beginning of Chinese post service, exclusive stamps were not ready for post service, so the administration of post had to use this type of stamps instead. However, nobody would image the amazing high price of it after 112 years.

It is also revealed in the report that there were only 32 stamps in the same style with this one were used in the market at that time.
