A shop dedicated to clothes and trappings in Xiamen, southeastern China's Fujian province, is using real-life models in its displays during the National Day holidays from October 1 to 8 in a bid to attract more consumers.
The Xiamen Daily reported that a number of passersby had pictures took with the mannequins after they had made purchases, bringing about a boom in the shop's business.
The report said customers gathered in front of the showcase, initially confused by the unflinching real-life models who sat amongst their plastic peers in the clothes displays.
