In a photography competition titled, "A day in the life of Chinese people," a group of pictures named "My mother collects junk" have triggered great discussion among netizens.

The photos were shot by Feng Yinglong, a college graduate in Jiangsu province, and he recorded his junk-collecting mother in his pictures.

The mother has collected junk to earn money to support her two sons who have been going to college for a combined nine years. Feng just recorded his mother during a normal day of collecting junk to take part in the competition in order to thank his mother.

Although the pictures are amateurish and not quite clear, many netizens found them moving, and nearly 5,000 netizens pasted posts to express their views.

Feng said he would love to work hard to buy a house in Suzhou as soon as possible and take his mother to the city to enjoy life.
