21-year-old Luo Lirong's life came to an end after eight days in a coma in the hospital after she was hit by a high-speed running bus on the morning of July 7. The girl's family made an amazing decision to donate all her five kinds of organs after her death.
The rural girl worked in Shenzhen. Like usual, she dressed up for work on the morning of July 7, but when passing an crossing, she was hit by a bus at high speed and tossed 20 meters, and then she fell into a coma immediately.
During the eight days she was in a coma in the hospital, Luo never regained consciousness, and on hospital's case record book, she was named "nobody" by doctors.
Doctors removed the organs of heart, liver, kidneys, skin and corneas from her and gave them to seven patients who needed these organs on the early morning of July 16, 8 days after she was hit by the bus.
Luo's father, an average farmer, said she loved to help others when she was alive, so it was only right that she should do that once again even in death.
The idea of donating organs came up to one of Luo's relatives who looked after Luo's parents in the hospital when she saw some pamphlets about donation placed around hospital wards. Then she told Luo's father about the idea and came to an agreement in the family.
