A competition titled "Dealing with Mistresses Skillfully and Protecting Families" started in Shanghai recently, reported by Newspaper Evening.

The competition is launched jointly by the Working Committee of Marriage and Family Affairs of the China Association of Social Workers and the Counseling Research Center of Marriage and Family.

According to its schedule, the first stage of the competition, which consists of soliciting articles for the whole country, started on July 29. The organizing committee is going to select "36 Strategies for Dealing with Mistresses" from all the articles. And winners of the "Thirty-six Strategies" will be invited as judges and guests in the preliminary and final TV competitions.

An organizer said this was not just an attempt to attract viewers by discussing scandalous matters. They had been contacted regarding more than 2,600 cases about marriage, and every month they would receive calls asking them to go to the places where husbands and their mistresses were sleeping together. Also, police would always receive calls for help on such affairs.

The organizer said people better sit and discuss together how to deal with mistresses skillfully rather than waste police resources.
