Beijing is predicted to have 4.5 million automotive vehicles this week as some 2,000 new vehicles edge into the already crowded road each day, reported the Legal Evening News.
Statistics from the Beijing Traffic Management Bureau show about 13,000 more motor vehicles hit the road last week, from Aug 23 to Aug 30.
Compared to last week, seven more streets became severely congested, with the traffic speed decreased to less than 20 kilometers an hour.
