It's like a kid who has to make his own life

Famous architectural structures such as the Louvre Pyramid and Centre Georges Pompidou, which have broken artistic conventions and traditions, have been recognized as symbols of futurism. So do you think the National Grand Theater will also be one of these symbols?

Andreu: I myself can't say. All my energy went to the best possible building. After that, it is like a kid. You give him life and education, and then he has to make his own life. I can not say by myself. Of course I would be very proud.

What was your greatest pleasure when designing the National Grand Theater?

Andreu: The pleasure comes afterwards. You must know an architect's work is very hard, very demanding. It's not so much taking pleasure, as it is work; trying to find solutions, trying to know where to go. It's a big stress- enormous stress. People sometimes will say that you are so happy because you've done such nice work. I mean, if you ask me if it is worth doing, it is.
