The series books—Symbols of China, which are edited leading by noted writer Feng Jicai, appeared before readers on the Book Expo on Sept. 3.

Feng Jicai talked about the symbols of China, which are focused on more and more, and believed that "Bird's Nest" ight be the symbol of modern China.

He said: "Lots of new buildings appeared in Beijing, only very few of them can be cultural symbol. And now, the 'Bird's Nest'is considered as the symbol of modern China by plenty of people because of Beijing Olympics, however, it still needs a certain historical period to be accepted by the public."

The 6 volume Chinese series books—Symbols of China are published by Yilin Press, including contents of material and immaterial culture, nature and historical heritage.
