On the night of June 30, the occurrence of Song Zuying, Jay Chou, Placido Domingo and Lang Lang performing on one stage alone is capable of causing excitement, but the organizer has said this is just the beginning.

According to information, China's cultural industry will launch the "Beijing Bird's Nest Summer Concert" as a long-term brand following this year's event on June 30. In the future, the Bird's Nest Summer Concert will be held every year on June 30 and a series of eastern music festivals will successively promote Chinese culture to the world.

On August 8, the first anniversary of the opening of the Beijing Olympic Games, Zhang Yimou, chief director of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing Olympic Games, will return to the Bird's Nest to stage his next work, the opera Turandot.

The roar of racing cars will be heard for the first time in the Bird's Nest on November 2 through 4 this year, when the 2009 ROC Nations Cup and the first Beijing international car racing festival are held there.

Reporters learned that at present the Bird's Nest's business revenue comes mainly from ticket sales. The Bird's Nest officially opened to tourists during last year's National Day holiday following the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Up to now, the Bird's Nest has received a total of 3.08 million tourists, of which nearly 420,000 visited during last year's National Day holiday and about 160,000 visited during this year's Spring Festival. The Bird's Nest has developed over 400 types of souvenirs in collaboration with organizations including the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG).
