Fossil of prehistoric 'giant' found

Chinese scientists have found the remains of a 193-centimeter-high human, which date back 4,200 years ago, at the Guofenglou ruin site in Shangnan County of Shaanxi Province, according to the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Morphologic study shows they are the remains of a male who aged between 16 and 18, and his physical characteristics are close to those of modern South Asian Mongolians. After detailed study, scientists finally confirmed the age of the remains.

In addition, these are the most complete and tallest remains of a prehistoric human found so far, and it provides rich and precious materials for morphologic study of prehistoric human beings.
