Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon's divorce from actor Ryan Philippe has been confirmed, nearly one year after the couple's separation, court documents revealed Wednesday.
Citing "irreconcilable differences," Reese originally filed for the divorce on Nov. 8, 2006.
Reese, 31, and Ryan, 33, met at Reese's 21st birthday party in 1997 and began dating shortly thereafter.
The couple co-starred in the 1999 movie "Cruel Intentions" and were married that year. Their separation was announced last October.
They have two children: 8-year-old daughter Ava and 3-year-old son Deacon.
Witherspoon won the best-actress Academy Award for her portrayal of June Carter Cash in 2005's "Walk the Line." She can next be seen in "Rendition," co-starring Jake Gyllenhaal, which is due out later this month.
Philippe starred in 2006 best picture Oscar-winner "Crash" and earned favorable reviews for his performance in the Clint Eastwood war drama "Flags of our Fathers" and espionage thriller "Breach."
