John Hawkes, who starred in the series "Deadwood," is joining the final season of "Lost" in a recurring role. He will play Lennon, a scruffy, edgy and charismatic spokesman and translator for the president of a foreign corporation.

Hawkes, who played a Jewish entrepreneur and politician Sol Star in David Milch's Western "Deadwood," recently co-starred on another HBO (Home Box Office) series, the offbeat comedy "Eastbound & Down." The American actor is also known for his portrayal as Bugsy in the Hollywood film The Perfect Storm. Other film credits include American Gangster, Miami Vice, Blue Streak, and Congo.
