Int'l Children's Film Festival to begin in Vienna

The 21st International Children's Film Festival will be held in Vienna from Nov. 14 to 22.

A total of 15 films from around the world, such as Scandinavia, the Benelux countries, Canada, Spain, India and Ireland, will be presented during the festival.

According to information released on Friday by the festival organizers, there will be three festival awards, including Prize of the Children's Jury, Audience Award and UNICEF-Prize, to be delivered.

The major topics of this year's films would be patchwork families, school, individuality and an outsider, puberty, friendships and first love.

The festival will start with the Austria premiere of the movie "The young bank robber," a Latvian-Austrian co-production with Karl Markovics performing as a leading role.
