The animated film Planet 51 is slated for release across North America on Friday. Directed by Jorge Blanco, it's a story from a planet far away.
The film follows a NASA astronaut, Captain Charles "Chuck" Baker, who lands on Planet 51 thinking he's the first to set foot there. However, he discovers its inhabited by little green people living in a white picket-fenced world reminiscent of 1950s America. The aliens -- naturally -- are freaked out by this alien.
Written by Joe Stillman, the computer graphics generated film cost approximately 60 million dollars. It stars Dwayne Johnson as the astronaut and Jessica Biel, Justin Long and Gary Oldman.
