One person has died and 87 others sick in a salmonella outbreak in Canada's Quebec province, health officials said Friday.
The outbreak has been linked to three brands of contaminated cheese, which have now been recalled, Dr. Horacio Arruda, the province's director of public health, told a news conference in Montreal.
The disease was found in three regions of the province, south of Quebec City, the Eastern Townships and central Quebec.
The announcement came only days after provincial Food and Agriculture Ministry recalled Quebec-made cheese that tested positive for Listeria.
