The Malaysian Health Ministry confirmed ten new cases of A/H1N1 flu here on Tuesday, raising the total number of the cases to 69, while two more schools were ordered to close.

Malaysian Health Minister Liow Tiong Lay said that among the new cases, two of them were local transmissions.

The authorities closed the schools for a week after one A/H1N1 flu case was confirmed in each of them.

One of the schools was named Seri Cempaka International School, located in Cheras area in Kuala Lumpur.

Meanwhile, the ministry required that students arriving in Malaysia from the United States, Britain, Australia and the Philippines must undergo home quarantine for a week.

The ministry said most imported cases of the disease reported in Malaysia involved people coming from these countries.

The ministry also urged students to seek treatment immediately if they develop flu-like symptoms.
