Malaysia confirmed 20 new A/H1N1 flu cases on Monday, bringing up the total to 144 in the country.

The Malaysian Health Ministry said that among the 20 new cases, four was locally transmitted and others were imported.

The ministry said that the imported cases involved patients who visited Australia, Indonesia, Britain, Japan, Singapore and Thailand.

On the day, four schools within the Klang Valley resumed classes, after being closed for a week to control the spread of the flu. The Klang Valley is an urban area covering Kuala Lumpur and some major cities in Selangor State.

While, one private school in Seremban State remained close as ordered by the authority on Sunday.
