A/H1N1 flu kills three in Algeria

Algerian Health Ministry announced Thursday that the A/H1N1 flu has killed three people, the first death cases linked to the flu in the country.
A 50-year-old woman in Biskra and a young woman aged 27 and her baby in Oran died of the virus, the ministry said in a statement without giving further details.
So far, Algeria has confirmed 274 A/H1N1 flu cases, including the three deaths, the statement said, adding that among the recently confirmed cases, many returned from Sudan.
Algeria has initiated in its national plan some sanitary measures to fight the pandemic influenza, the statement added.
