It was reported by some media that the "luxury tour trains" in use on Qinghai-Tibet railway this September would only serve to foreign tourists. However, Wang Yongping, the spokesman for the Ministry of Railways, clarified in his blog on People's Daily Online on August 20, that this train service would not be limited to foreign visitors.
Wang said the name of "luxury tour trains" should be corrected to "Qinghai-Tibet sightseeing trains" and the trains would serve all tourists in Qingzang, but not only foreign tourists.
