Hollywood famous star Eddie Murphy has chosen French Polynesia to tie the knot on Wednesday with 40-year-old film producer and fiance Tracey Edmonds, the Pacnews reported Thursday.
Murphy, 46, and Edmonds, who officially engaged in July last year, hired a private island near French Polynesia's mythical atoll of Bora Bora and organized the relatively private wedding beach sunset ceremony on New Year's Day, in front a small group of about 25 close family and friends, the Suva-based regional news agency reported.
The ceremony had been designed by Beverley Hills celebrities event personality Colin Cowie, who created a gazebo on the beach made out of 6,000 shells for the ceremony.
The couple arrived in French Polynesia at the weekend, aboard a private jet.
A few years ago, Murphy was a regular host to another exclusive Pacific island resort, Wakaya, located East of Fiji's main island of Viti Levu. Source:Xinhua
