Rumor has it Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were married Saturday in New Orleans, but a source close to the couple told Usmagazine.com, in no uncertain words, the rumor is a fabrication.
The rumor is "complete and total bulls--t," said the source. "Bottom line, they aren't even in New Orleans."
Reps for Jolie and Pitt did not comment on initial reports they wed at an unannounced ceremony in the French Quarter.
In 2006, Pitt stated he and Jolie were waiting until gay marriage was legalized before they would marry.
"Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able," he told Esquire.
Jolie has brushed off the value of marriage.
"We both have been married before, so it's not marriage that's necessarily kept some people together," she told Vogue in 2006. "We are legally bound to our children, not to each other, and I think that's the most important thing."
The couple, who have been together since 2005, have four children and three previous marriages between them.
