Farmers harvest Lycium chinensis in NW China

Local farmers weigh Lycium chinensis (the fruit of Chinese Wolfberry) in Dulan County of northwest China's Qinghai Province, Aug. 31, 2010. There are 80 square kilometers planting area of Lycium chinensis in Dulan county with about 46.7 square kilometers among them entering harvest season this year. Lycium chinensis industries dominate local economy in Dulan. The plant area of the Lycium chinensis will reach some 333.3 square kilometers in the next few years, according to the planning of local government. (Xinhua/Luo Xiaofei)
