Google will hold a press conference at 2 pm January 6, 2010 Beijing time at their headquarters in California, where Google might release its own brand mobile phone Nexus One.

At present, major media have received invitations from Google to attend the press conference at Google headquarters. The invitation only mentions an "Android press conference," and does not specify the products, but the industry insiders generally believe that Google will launch its own brand smart phones.

Sources said Google will start selling the Nexus One on January 5, and there are two sales channels: Google Web site and T-Mobile. To purchase through T-Mobile, the user must sign a two-year service contract costing 179.99 U.S. dollars.

If you purchase through the Google website www.google.com / phone, each Google account is restricted to five mobile phones at 529.99 U.S. dollars each. The phone bought through the Google website does not have limit on operators, and client can choose their own service provider.

In November last year Google bought mobile advertising firm AdMob for 750 million U.S. dollars. Many analysts believe Google would like to copy its success in the Web advertising market to the mobile phone market.
