"Mermaid" body found in Hainan province
|
At 11:00pm on June 22, a fish-shaped body floating in the sea was found at the Yelin terminal in the town of Dongjiao in Wenchang City, Hainan Province.
This unknown animal had an intact tail fin and pectoral fin and no scales on the body. Its skin was brown, and felt tough and smooth. This creature is 3 meters long and 1 meter wide and has sparse gray fur on its body.
Experts from Hainan Normal University confirmed that it was indeed the legendary "beauty," classified as an endangered wild animal under first class protection by the state.
