was founded in 1949.

FISU is composed of a General
Assembly which represents the
members (138 National University
Sports
Federations).

FISU responsible for both Summer
and Winter Universiades as
well as the World University
Championship.

About Universade

• After the successful Championship year of 2006, with a record breaking number of 26 World University Championships all over the globe, FISU and its staff is getting ready for another Universiade year in 2007, with the Winter Universiade in Torino, Italy and the Summer Universiade in Bangkok, Thailand, uniting once more high level student-athletes.
