Norway coach Bjarne Berntsen has named Canada as the toughest rival within Group D at the upcoming FIFA Women's World Cup China 2007.
"Canada are more physical than the Norwegian team. They have a Norwegian coach (Even Pellerud). He knows the Norwegian team very well, so it's important for getting well prepared for the game against Canada," said Berntsen on Sunday.
"Australia have shown great form in the recent two warm-up victories over China. It's also a good team."
Berntsen admitted that he had little knowledge about Ghana, but as Norway meet the "Black Queens" at their last group match, they get the chance to watch the African team play two games before their clash.
After several days' hard training since arrival in Hangzhou, Norway have a relaxation Sunday to let the players have a rest.
"We will start preparing for the game against Canada tomorrow. Our observers went to watch them play Japan at a recent friendly, and we will analyse those videotapes."
Berntsen jokingly said that he might not have the chance to talk with Pellerud in the first game, as the latter has been suspended for his indecent behavior at the CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup final against the United States.
Berntsen told Xinhua he would like to choose China as Norway's quarter-final opponent, as the hosts will produce fantastic atmosphere on home soil, but presently he is focusing on the group stage.
"Our aim is to reach the last four, and to be the best three European teams to qualify for next year's Beijing Olympic Games."
Norway will meet Canada next Wednesday in their first group match at the World Cup, while Australia will play Ghana on the same day.
