During the first seven months of this year, China's import/export of electronic information products totaled 417 billion US dollars- increasing 22.9 percent year on year-according to an analysis report, released Tuesday, by the Ministry of the Information Industry.
According to the report, during those seven months, the export value of electronic information products reached 235 billion dollars, up 25.9 percent. It made up 36 percent of national exports and 33.2 percent of the growth of exports nationwide. Imports added up to 182 billion US dollars, up 19.3 percent. It contributed to 35.2 percent of the national figure, and 34.8 percent of import growth.
Exports from exclusively foreign-funded companies reached 159 billion US dollars, up 26.9 percent. They made up 67.4 percent of the nation's total exports. Chinese-foreign joint venture exports held a value of 38.88 billion US dollars, making up 16.5 percent of the nation's total.
In accordance with the pattern of export trade, the majority of the nation's exports (84.6 percent) involved processing with imported materials and processing/assembling with materials supplied by clients, with export values standing at 164 billion and 35 billion dollars. By People's Daily Online |
