Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf arrived in China's southernmost city of Sanya on Thursday, kicking off his state visit to China as guest of Chinese President Hu Jintao.

During his stay, President Hu will hold official talks with Musharraf, and exchange views with him on bilateral ties as well as international and regional issues of common concern. They will also confer on further cementing China-Pakistan relations.

Musharraf is scheduled to attend the opening ceremony of the annual meeting of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) on Saturday in Boao, Hainan Province in south China.

The BFA, established in 2001, served as a platform for high-level interaction between political, commercial and academic dignitaries from Asia and the world. The theme of this year's annual meeting is "Green Asia: Moving Towards Win-Win Through Changes".
