U.S. President George W. Bush will travel to Japan in early July to attend the annual Group of Eight summit meeting, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said Tuesday.
Bush, who will attend his last such summit meeting during his term, will leave on July 5 and return to Washington on July 9, Perino said.
The summit of industrialized nations will be held in Lake Toya in northern Japan.
In addition to the United States, the Group of Eight also groups Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Russia.
