Justice ministers from the Group of Eight nations (G8) gathered here Wednesday to discuss such issues as measures against terrorism.
The three-day ministerial conference, co-chaired by Japan's Justice Minister Kunio Hatoyama and National Public Safety Commission Chairman Shinya Izumi, is attended by representatives from Britain, the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Italy and Russia.
The G8 justice ministers will confer Thursday on measures against terrorism, drug-related crimes and crimes concerning personal information, such as credit cards and passports. And a joint declaration will be released at the conclusion of Friday's session.
