Finnish President Tarja Halonen will travel to China for the Beijing Olympic Games from Aug. 16-25, said the president office in a news release on Wednesday.

During her stay in Beijing, Halonen will watch Finns competing in different sports, visit athletes in the Olympic Village and attend the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games, said the release.

Dr. Pentti Arajarvi, Halonen's spouse, will accompany her to Beijing, said it.
