2006 ASEM 6, Helsinki, Finland
The sixth Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM 6) was held in Helsinki, Finland on 10-11 September 2006. Under the overarching theme of '10 years of ASEM: Global Challenges-Joint Responses', the meeting discussed multilateralism and regional development, globalization and competitiveness, energy and climate change, dialogue among cultures and civilizations and the future development of ASEM. The meeting issued the Chairman's Statement, the Helsinki Declaration on the Future of ASEM, and the ASEM6 Declaration on Climate Change.

2004 ASEM 5, Hanoi, Vietnam
The fifth Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM 5) was held in Hanoi, Vietnam on 8-9 October 2004. Under the overarching theme of 'Further Revitalizing and Substantiating the Asia-Europe Partnership, the meeting discussed the United Nations reform, counter-terrorism, non-conventional security threats, Asia-Europe economic and trade cooperation and cultural diversity.
The meeting issued the Chairman's Statement, the Declaration on Dialogue among Cultures and Civilizations, and the Hanoi Declaration on Closer ASEM Economic Partnership.
2002 ASEM 4, Copenhagen, Denmark
The fourth Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM 4) was held in Copenhagen, Denmark on 23-24 September 2002. Under the overarching theme of 'Unity in Diversity', the meeting discussed global and regional situation and security issues, Asia-Europe economic and financial cooperation, human resource development, dialogue among cultures and civilizations. The meeting issued the Chairman's Statement, Political Declaration for Peace on the Korean Penninsula, the Declaration on Cooperation Against International Terrorism, the Cooperation Program on Fighting International Terrorism.
2000 ASEM 3, Seoul, South Korea
The third Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM 3) was held in Seoul, Korea on 20-21 October 2000. Under the overarching theme of the 'Partnership for Prosperity and Stability in the New Millennium', the meeting discussed regional and global security issues, strengthening multilateral economic and financial cooperation, promote cultural and social cooperation and the future development of ASEM. The meeting issued the Chairman's Statement and the Soul Declaration for Peace on the Korean Penninsula.

The second Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM 2) was held in London, the United Kingdom 3-4 April 1998. The meeting discussed global and regional issues, Asian Financial Crisis, economic cooperation and the ASEM process. The meeting issued the Chairman's Statement, the Chairman's Statement on the Financial and Economic Situation in Asia, and the Asia-Europe Cooperation Framework.
1996 ASEM 1, Bangkok, Thailand
The inaugural Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM 1) was held in Bangkok, Thailand 1-2 March 1996. Under the overarching theme of 'Towards a New Asia-Europe Partnership for Greater Growth', the meeting discussed how to strengthen dialogue and cooperation between Asia and Europe. The meeting issued the Chairman's Statement.
