33-year-old He Yuhua is from the countryside in Yibin, Sichuan Province.

Having not signed a work contract, his salary for the past two years has been nothing more than dozens of i.ou.'s, or "promissory notes."

This October, he had planned to find a new job, and thus sought out his employer to repay over 6,000 yuan in salary.

After one month of tough negotiations, his boss finally agreed to pay back the money.

He Yuhua said, "In the future when working, I have to be more aware of my legislative rights and must sign a work contract."
