"Lust, Caution"
Based on Shanghai writer Eileen Chang's novel, "Lust" revolves around a group of revolutionary students bent on killing a powerful political figure who collaborates with invading Japanese forces during World War II. It is shown in Chinese with both English and Chinese subtitles.
It stirred debate on sex and politics in Chinese mainland.
In online forums, the movie ignited a new round of debate about the adoption of a film rating system in China. One critic said, "The true meaning of the film's screening in the Chinese mainland lies in renewing the debate of the rating system."
"Warlords""Warlords", based on a Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) story, follows the struggle of three blood brothers for a woman during a time of war and political upheaval.

It has beaten Ang Lee's much bankable "Lust, Caution" to secure the No.1 spot at the 2007 Chinese-language box-office.
"The Assembly" "The Assembly" features a Chinese military company commander who devoted his entire life during the civil war in the 1940s to redeeming the honor of fellow soldiers, who are declared missing in action.

In a survey published by the China Film Association, 86 percent of Chinese audiences gave a high rating to "The Assembly".
